Capturing insights at Ystad Summit

Ystad Summit is a gathering of organisations and individuals who care about improving or sustaining our society. Two days of presentations and discussions about self-sustainability, equality, environmentally sound expansion, mental health and more.

These are the sort of organisations I like to work with, so I trotted around with my iPad in hand, making live illustrated summaries and doing my introverted best to meet people.

Nestle – regenerative agriculture

Nestle works with and for coffee farmers around the world to help them make the change to regenerative agriculture. Dual planting, new varietals of coffee plants, and measures to improve soil health are all making a difference.

Saab – preparing businesses for the worst

If a crisis hits, critical infrastructure and businesses need to be able to continue their operations as usual. This panel discussion covered the efforts being made to make some of Sweden’s most important organisations resilient in times or crisis.

Hitachi Energy

Sweden’s electricity network is undergoing a massive expansion. Hitachi’s panel discussed how they are balancing this with environmental needs and rapidly changing world politics.

PingDay – are our emergency bunkers good enough?

What do we need from a modern-day emergency bunker? And who is responsible for making sure it works?

Why use visual documentation for your event?

These sorts of presentations and discussions are incredibly rich in insights. So rich, in fact, that by the end of the event, it can be hard to remember more than a fraction of what was said. A visual summary helps audiences make sense of the information, and seeing key points illustrated means that those points stick.

Plus, you get instant assets for social media and internal comms.
